BPM Connectivity with Bonita
We have just released today a new version of Bonita. This version 4.1.1 is in fact a maintenance version of the latest stable release used in production by a large number of users.
Together with this version, we have decided to include a preview implementation of one of the next major features to come in Bonita: BPM connectors.
Connectors are in fact a kind of evolution of one of the Bonita flagship features: Hooks. While hooks offers a powerful way to call services from processes, connectors adds customization capabilities to improve the way services in your information systems are called from within a BPM process.
Bonita connectors capabilities includes, among others, in/out parameters definition and both static and dynamic validation. Together with this first implementation both email and LDAP connectors implementations are provided.
In next version we will include new connectors implementations. Connectors are currently being integrated in the next Bonita BPM Studio, a graphical Eclipse based environment to define processes, including graphical configuration of BPM connectors.
You will find more details about Bonita connectors in the Bonita CookBook
Stay tuned…
